Truck Run- Sunday, September 23, 2007
All of the trucks met in Bridgehampton and drove to Sag Harbor.
The Truck Club packed the parking lot at Megna Glass. Martin Megna demonstrated the art of glass blowing.
Martin Megna is a skilled craftsman. Here he is heating and shaping a glass vase.
Megna adds decorative effects as he works the hot glass.
Megna made a vase for us just like the one on the table.
The glass blowing demonstration was great.
Club Members had a chance to explore the village. We saw a Civil War and Revolutionary War Monuments.
After touring the town and having lunch, we left Megna Glass and drove to Mecox Bay Dairy
Art Ludlow has many restoration projects on the farm. We all drooled.
Art had ex-military vehicles and many other trucks on the farm.
And on his farm he had some pigs. EI EI OH!
Stampede! Why did the chicken cross the road?
There was a chicken on the other side! Who goosed me?!
After a tour of the barn yard, we saw the cheese making operation.
The cows were let into the milking parlor. Art likes Jersey cows, but some are bred locally, like this oddball.
After he gets the milk, he can make the cheese.
We all had a taste of Art Ludlow's Mecox Bay Dairy Cheese.
If you want milk, you need a calf first. Many Thanks to Art and Mrs. Ludlow for a great demonstration
